happy familySo, I flew back to Kuching all the way from Mechelen, Belgium early last month (Nov 2011) lugging a Birth-Pool-in-a-Box in my suitcase. Why, everyone asked me? So that I could use the birth pool to birth my first ever baby son peacefully and calmly in comforting warm water, avoid tearing my parts and enjoy a brilliant drug-free happy birth experience. Whoopeee!

Baby YunYun: newly arrivedMy first labour was induced and I felt birthing was not given an opportunity to be natural. I got urinary tract infection that time and later found that my son is a special need child. One of my suspected causes was the procedure of induced labour.

For our second child, we decided to learn HypnoBirthing. At that time, doctor was saying baby was small and better to deliver before due. Another induced birth? I'm not going to go through that again. So we decided to have lotus birth at home.

Baby Tze YenIt was my 2nd pregnancy. My husband and I planned for home birth this time. My husband like the nature way of lifestyle. After the first birthing experience at private clinic, I feel that giving birth is a very private matter, not to be attended by many strangers.

I've always believed that birth should be a natural process and it should not be associated with fear or stress. So when I read up the HypnoBirthing book, I know that this is the kind of birth that I want. I didn't go to any HypnoBirthing classes as I had time and financial constraints.
